1. Get Addicted to Learning Your information diet
Just like your actual diet: if you eat crap, you’ll feel crap; Read worthy stuff it could be self-help books also but check and review the authors.
2. Maintain Routine
Easy said than done, start with the basics- after work:
- No phone first thing
- A small win early (e.g. light exercise)
- Mind primed for deep work (e.g. by journaling)
- Your morning is the stretching before the sprint.
3. Enjoy your Me-Time
Solitude is an essential pillar to truly knowing yourself: it’s the secret garden where self-discovery can bloom. Practice to socially disengage at least twice a month.
4. Put thoughts on paper
Rather complaining to friends of family- It’s the therapy to put things on paper which helps you to think slowly, deeply, rationally.
5. Maintain relationships
Human connections are the fabric of life – but you need to be intentional with them amidst life’s chaos. So, schedule time weekly for thoughtful texts and calls to those you’ve neglected. It’s a couple of minutes with an ROI you’ll measure in years.
6. Pay it forward
Random acts of kindness boost well-being:
- Opening the door from the old lady, picking up the pen for your colleague.
- Smiling at child making noise in the lift, it can calm her as well as the environment.
7. Focus on your Health
Breathe, Eat, Exercise, Pray and Drink at least 8 glasses of water.
