“SCIENCE MEETS BEAUTY”: CONNECTING THE DOTS WITH CULTURE AND TECHNOLOGY

April 1st, a very unique event took place at the RV-OPV manufacturing facility of Vietnam. Where the theme ‘Science Meets Beauty‘ was in the spotlight. The event was held to welcome RV Group Philippines Derma Team to visit and learn about the history, production lines and modern technology at the OPV factory in Vietnam. The presentation was led by Ms. Vu Vicky – Project Head and Mr. Srinivas Bajjuri – Production Director, of RV-OPV.

The key take aways from the meet were “Science is organized knowledge. Wisdom is organized life.” Hence to put knowledge to best use there was a session on Skin care and its benefits.

In the program, Skin Science and how to take care of skin were discussed. The scientific talks were chaired by eminent dermatologists of the Philippines, Dr. Maria Franchesca Quino – Board-certified dermatologist who highlighted the “Effect of the lactic acid bacterium Streptococcus thermophilus on ceramide levels in human” while using CeraBest serum, a product that effectively strengthens the skin’s protective barrier by promoting the endogenous  production of ceramides and keeps the skin hydrated and maintains the skin pH level to contain the bacteria from multiplying.

The other topic on Skin Science was to find “Solution of Melasma” Dermatologist Michelle Sacdalan Slatensek, who shared tips to remove dark spots and skin- pigmentation, a very common skin diseases that most people encounter. Dr. Michelle suggests Nirvalyte gel which contains 4-n- Butylresorcinol, Niacinamide, Glycolic Acid, Curcumin Extract, as a therapeutic option for the issues that all women encounter, as it has a natural ingredient- curcumin to diminish the dark spots and cracking of skin.

As a special part of the event, Nirvalyte Brand Ambassador and Miss Intercontinental 2022, Miss Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, took part in the “Science Meets Beauty” event as a special guest where she shared her experiences with the product NIRVALYTE Skin Lightening Gel and gave notable tips of improvement in her skin tone as she had to face in her demanding work schedule while keeping abreast in the Beauty industry.

The event marked a special bonding of two cultures where Derma Team of RV Group Philippines exchanged ideas and learnt about pharmaceutical manufacturing plant requirements from Vietnam’s RV-OPV team and enjoyed the Vietnamese hospitality.

The cross-cultural exchanges, in the event “Science Meets Beauty” provided a wealth of informative material that helped lay the groundwork for future knowledge-sharing and strong growth between RV-OPV Vietnam and RV Group Philippines.
