RV-OPV ACQUIRED THE PRESTIGIOUS AWARD OF “VIETNAMESE MEDICINE STAR”

OPV Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (a division of RV Group) is one of the eighteen pharmaceutical manufacturing companies to get the “Vietnamese Medicine Star” award season 2. The Ministry of Health (MOH) and Drug Administration of Vietnam (DAV) are directly in charge of organizing and casting votes for this award. It was held twice, the first time being in 2014, almost ten years ago, and the second time in 2024.

The selection was tough where RV-OPV stood out tall from a list of 280 manufacturing facilities in Vietnam had participated. Out of the 18 nominations RV-OPV was chosen to be awarded “Vietnamese Medicine Star”. This was due to the company’s compliance with the stringent requirements set by the Review Council, which is made up of respected experts and managers with advanced degrees and in-depth knowledge of both the clinical treatment and pharmaceutical industries.

This drives us to keep creating high-quality goods and services that bring real value to customers, clients, and the community while also improving the company’s reputation in the Vietnamese pharmaceutical market.” said Ms. Dao Thi Kim Loan, General Director of RV-OPV.

Ms. Loan also provided additional details regarding RV-OPV’s plans. The EU-GMP manufacturing requirements for the pill plant have been upgraded by the RV-OPV factory in 2024. Furthermore, to broaden the treatment groups of medications supplied to Vietnamese patients, RV-OPV plans to grow and develop additional projects in the next two to three years for injectable drugs, cancer therapies, and other pharmaceuticals that meet EU-GMP standards.

With the “Vietnamese Medicine Star” award this time around, and the most recent bidding circular (Circular 07-2024/TT-BYT signed on May 17, 2024), RV-OPV will have an edge when they receive technical points in our drug bidding documents.
