The 2nd Expanded Pharmacy Science Conference of Ho Chi Minh City – 2024 RV-OPV’s Awareness Campaign on the Importance of Women’s Health and Wellbeing
Continuing the series of programs celebrating Women’s Health Awareness Month with the theme “RV-OPV’s Awareness Campaign on Importance of Women’s Health and Well-being”, as a sponsor of the 2nd Annual Expanded Pharmacy Science Conference of Ho Chi Minh City – 2024, RV-OPV reaffirmed its commitment to contributing to the development of the pharmaceutical industry and public health.
On October 11, 2024, the conference was successfully held in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting the participation of hundreds of top healthcare professionals, pharmacists, and researchers. The event was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Pharmacy Association. In her presentation, Dr. Võ Thị Đem shared valuable insights on consulting for reproductive health issues, a common condition that is often overlooked in counseling at retail pharmacies. The presentation emphasized the crucial role of pharmacists in providing accurate knowledge and safe treatment solutions for patients. Dr. Đem also introduced effective treatment methods and appropriate medications to optimize women’s health care, thereby enhancing the reputation of pharmacies. Key points included:
- Life Stages and Health Needs: Covers childhood, adolescence, reproductive age, pregnancy, and menopause. Each stage has specific health requirements, particularly regarding bone density and reproductive health.
- Hormonal Influence: Highlights the impact of hormonal changes on women’s health, including the menstrual cycle, menopause, and associated conditions like osteoporosis due to decreased estrogen levels.
